24-Hour U.S. Equities Trading Advances with 24X National Exchange Launch
Wedbush Securities has joined the growing list of financial firms enabling 24-hour trading for U.S. equities, as 24X National Exchange prepares for its September 2025 launch. The exchange, approved by the SEC, will offer 23-hour weekday trading—a first for a national securities exchange.
Initial operations will run from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, mirroring current market hours, with MEMX Technologies providing the test system. Dmitri Galinov, CEO of 24X, highlights the appeal to Asia-Pacific investors seeking daylight access to U.S. markets, targeting brokers handling this flow.
While ATSs like Blue Ocean already facilitate overnight trading, 24X positions itself as a superior regulated alternative. "Broker-dealers must connect to comply with Reg NMS," Galinov notes, underscoring the exchange's structural advantage.
